BEGINNER'S MIND REVISITED

Open the door to new possibilities in this unique training experience.
Beginner's Mind Revisited is a series of 2-day intensive training programs for therapists, consultants, managers, and trainers
based on the methods and teachings of the Satir Growth Model and is led by Jean McLendon
Jean McLendon , LCSW, LMFT, is widely recognized as a master in the use of the Satir Model and methods.
Mentored by Virginia Satir for nearly twenty years, Jean has expanded the scope and influence of the work worldwide
and travels extensively teaching this global approach to congruent interactions. Jean has over thirty years of experience as
a change agent and maintains a multi-service private practice which includes coaching, business consultation, therapy
and supervision. She has been on the faculty of the University of North Carolina, and NIMH Staff College. She is faculty specialist
with the Organization Systems Renewal Graduate Program at Seattle University and President of The Virginia Satir Global Network.
Jean frequently presents on topics of organizational consulting and psychotherapy. In 2002, Jean was the Keynote Presenter at the
Annual Conference of the American Academy of Psychotherapists. Her contributions were recognized recently as she was awarded
the 2003 NCAAMFT Champion of the Family Award and in 2004, Avanta's Living Treasure Award, by The Virginia Satir Global
Network (formerly Avanta, The Virginia Satir Network).
You will be engaged by Jean's ability to creatively transform defense mechanisms, reshape relationships and facilitate positive change.
Participants will create innovative interventions for helping clients resolve interpersonal conflicts, expand accountability and
enhance congruence. Topics include Family of Origin Coping Patterns. The Change Process, Ingredients of an Interaction,
Personal and Organizational Iceberg, Inner Resources and more. The training format includes training, process and supervision.
Training opportunities for 2008 include monthly, 2-hour evening SATIR STUDY SESSIONS
and quarterly, 2-day (Friday and Saturday) SATIR WEEKEND WORKSHOPS.

Cost for SATIR WEEKEND WORKSHOPS is:

Cost for SATIR STUDY SESSIONS is:

Please note the following conditions:
Space is limited to 15 participants in both the SATIR WEEKEND WORKSHOPS and the SATIR STUDY SESSIONS.
The deadline for any event is 30 days prior to the event. Your registration is not complete and a space cannot be held for
you until a registration form and payment have been received.
Cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to any event will result in a $25 administrative fee for the SATIR STUDY SESSIONS
and a $75 fee for the SATIR WEEKEND WORKSHOPS.
