Six Ways Participants Can Apply The Satir Concepts Learned in the
Congruent Leadership Development Workshop
(previously called the High Impact Training and Organization Development Workshop)

(The Ingredients of an Interaction model is used throughout as an example, though we could just as easily use "Five Freedoms, Iceberg, 7A's, Communication Stances, etc.)

1. Self Awareness and Self-Improvement: use ingredients in understanding one's own communication strengths and weaknesses and practicing in weaker areas (e.g., sharing feelings)

2. Interpretation with Others: using ingredients in a consultation to help people understand a situation (e.g., "so people observed the same interaction but the meaning they made of it was quite different")

3. Teaching Others: using ingredients as a model of training for in communications processes and skills

4. Norm Setting: using ingredients as the operational definition of openness in a team building workshop

5. Activity Generating: using ingredients as way of processing a common organizational event, (e.g., when a group is discussing merger, use the ingredients model as a format for each person in the group to share reaction)

6. Intervention: using ingredients as a way of helping two people or groups in conflict slow down their process enough to hear and understand each other (e.g., work with the clients as a third party guide)
